Prof. Takashi Inoue
Prof. Takashi Inoue
Dean, Graduate School of Global Food Resources, Hokkaido University
Prof. Takashi Inoue is the current Dean of the Graduate school of Global Food Resources at Hokkaido University. As a Hokkaido University graduate, he dedicated his life as a researcher to study wetland systems to find strategic solutions for global food, land, and water troubles, glocal (global and local) leaders who can contribute to regional issues with a global perspective must be fostered. Prof. Inoue started his career as a technical staff in Department of Forestry and Fisheries, in Ministry of Agriculture before he became a lecturer in Hokkaido University. In 2008, Prof. Inoue was the Editor-in-Chief of the Wetland Society of Japan Journal. For his great accomplishments, he has won many awards including the Agricultural and Rural Engineering Society Resource Recycling Research Subcommittee Chairman's Award in 2011.

After graduating from Hokkaido University in 1991, I worked for Sapporo City as a landscape architect and engaged in community development through park design. Then, I launched the study trip to Europe in 2006, took a course at the graduate school as well as Ecovillage Design Education program in UK. The trip gave me an experience of low-impact lifestyle and transition movement in practice. Back to Hokkaido in 2008, I initiated this organization, aiming at the model of sustainable community based on the 6-ha of an organic farm and woodland, providing opportunities for people to learn alternative lifestyle. We grow vegetables and fruits for our community members, and hundreds of volunteers, tourists and school pupils have been involved in the process.

Keiko Ono is Director and Co-founder of Social Innovation Japan. As a Japanese-Papua New Guinean, she has over a decade of experience across countries in Africa and Asia Pacific region guiding complex stakeholders in Google, social entrepreneurship and public institutions. With a strong passion for creating data-driven stories focusing on sustainability and social impact, her work focuses on cultivating agency through communities as an integral part of creating structural and societal change.

Executive Director, C4 Capital for New Commons
Born in Singapore and raised in Alabama, Takahiro holds a B.A. in Law from Keio University and has a diverse background from starting up an educational non-profit during university (HLAB), working in multiple businesses within General Electric Company in its FMP program, arranging equity finance solutions for Japanese listed companies with EVOLUTION FINANCIAL GROUP’s investment banking division to running an impact investment intermediary for ecosystem development to channel financial capital to initiatives solving pressing societal issues in Japan. He's recently started a social venture aiming to provide a platform bringing purpose driven individuals and organizations together based on location/societal solutions/SDGs to bridge the information, collaboration and engagement gaps in the market.

Senior Director, Amino Up Co., Ltd.
Yumiko Miura is Senior Director of Business Development Division at Amino Up Co., Ltd., an innovative food manufacturer that produces patented functional ingredients from natural resources. Working with medical doctors, researchers and industry professionals, Yumiko Miura is responsible for the development of international and domestic healthcare markets. She is also in charge of an international exchange program, in which Amino Up encourages the local students of Hokkaido to communicate with multinational researchers. She received her B.A. in commerce and MBA from Otaru University of Commerce.
